Plans to demonstrate Cisco's innovative products targeting different vertical segments
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 11, 2008: Emirates Computers announced that it has launched its booth within Cisco Partner Space, which includes a series of high profile Cisco products and solutions targeting different market segments and verticals. The products highlighted on the Emirates Computers' booth include the Telepresence range of solutions, IPT products, Wan Acceleration Engine (WAE) and the Cisco Nexus 5000 Series switches for data centers to name a few.
"As Cisco's Gold partner for the region, Emirates Computers offers a wide range of Cisco solutions to our customers. Cisco has created a partner portal where Cisco's partners with different specialisations can collaborate to offer customers a comprehensive solution. Customers can also log into the portal and make a choice of products and solutions from different Cisco partners," says Mr. Dani Diab, Vice President & General Manager, Emirates Computers.
"Emirates Computers is happy to collaborate with Cisco by creating a booth within their Cisco Partner Space Web 2.0 environment and also be part of the Cisco team at industry events. Our booth on Cisco Partner Space showcases our full range of Cisco products and solutions, and allows us to leverage Web 2.0 technology to collaborate with customers. The unique feature is that we can collaborate with other Cisco partners using the partner portal and offer customers more comprehensive turnkey solutions," Mr. Diab added.
The Emirates Computers booth highlights Data Center/ WAE (Wan Acceleration Engine) and a series of products aimed at datacenter customers which include the Cisco Nexus 5000 Series of switches. The Nexus 5000 is designed for data centers transitioning to 10 Gigabit Ethernet as well as for those ready to deploy a unified fabric that can handle their LAN, SAN and server cluster, networking all over a single link (or dual links for redundancy).
The Cisco ACE 4710 Application Control Engine which represents the next generation of application switches for maximizing the availability, acceleration, and security of data center applications, will also be among the exhibits. The Cisco ACE 4710 allows enterprises to accomplish four primary IT objectives for application delivery which includes maximization of application availability, acceleration of application performance, securing data center and applications and facilitation of data center consolidation through fewer servers, load balancers, and data center firewalls.
The booth also includes a complete set of Unified Communications range of products for business of various sizes. The Unified Communications allows for consolidation of all communications applications and provide for single interface access to all business related services. One of the key benefits from adopting Unified Communications is that it will minimize the work space required and enable low waste generation. Among UC phones included will be a range of devices that exhibit the latest advances in wireless and VoIP features. One of the products in the UC portfolio, also available at the showcase is the 500 Series for Small Business, a critical part of the Cisco Smart Business Communications System.
One of the star highlights of the booth is the Telepresence range. The Cisco TelePresence Meeting solution combines life-size, ultra high-definition video images (720p and 1080p), CD-quality audio, a specially designed environment, and interactive elements to create the feeling of being "in person" with participants in remote locations. The Cisco TelePresence Manager software integrates with enterprise groupware and Cisco Unified CallManager, so scheduling is as easy as sending a calendar invitation and calls are launched with the push of a button on the meeting room phone.
"The Telepresence solution caps our extensive range of Cisco solutions. We see immense possibilities for enterprise and SMB customers in the region to benefit from these innovative solutions and this booth on the Cisco partner portal will be a good platform for our customers to see a firsthand demonstration of the product," Mr. Diab concluded.
