The Next Vanity Number Plate Auction will feature 50 breathtaking numbers of (Category 50)
Abu Dhabi, November 15, 2016: Emirates Auction L.L.C., a leading UAE-based online auction company in the region, is working towards a new ground-breaking achievement, by entering the Guinness World Records for the 8th time in less than ten years.
The company said in a statement that it is hopeful of breaking the world record it had previously registered from the sale of the most expensive car number plate worldwide, as preparations are underway for a dazzling auction – in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police.
Marking the Government of Abu Dhabi’s Golden Jubilee, the auction will take place on the 19th of November in the Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi, where a staggering 50 limited edition number plates (category 50) will be auctioned.
The General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police announced that it would launch (Category 50) to commemorate the Government’s golden jubilee, which adds a sense of sophistication to this category. The awe-inspiring auction will encompass a total of 50 numbers in this category, including the much coveted plate number (1), in addition to numbers (7, 10, 11, 22, 50, 66 and 999) and many other numbers.
From his side, Abdulla Matar Al Mannaei, Chairman of Emirates Auction expects that the auction will draw large attraction from all nationalities. “Due to the importance of the event and the symbolic occasion in the hearts of Emiratis and residents, there will be fierce competition among participants to acquire one of the highly-coveted plate numbers.”
“This will mark the first time for the UAE Ministry of Interior to launch a brand-new category in a limited-edition. I believe we will witness a spectacular auction”, he added.
Al Mannaei advised interested bidders to arrive at the venue before the start of the auction and submit the necessary deposit cheque during registration. Registered bidders can buy any quantity of plates during the auction. Bidding will start from a nominal value for each plate.
In 2008, Emirates Auction broke the world record, by selling the most expensive number plate, fetching a whopping Dh52.2 million ($ 14 million) in a fierce bidding.
