Wahat Hili Mall, the new destination for Emax Electronics in Al Ain

Al Ain, December 15, 2013: Pursuing its strategy of being closer to customer in every market, Emax Electronics, the largest electronics retailer in the Middle East and part of the Landmark Group has recently made its foray for the first time in Al Ain by opening its store in the city at Wahat Hili Mall to cater to the city's residents and visitors.

Located at the second floor, covering an area of approximately 800 sq. feet, making it an anchor store in the mall, the new Emax showroom will offer a diversified portfolio of consumer electronics along with a convenient buying experience for the customer.

Designed to meet the growing needs of the business and consumer segments in Al Ain, the new showroom will continue to reward its customers with several offers and promotions from across its various categories, namely, audio, video, IT, photography, gaming and home appliances. Several customer benefits such as after-sales services and reward programs will also be offered to its clientele.

"The opening of a new Emax in Al Ain marks a great step for the city, as it means that residents looking to purchase electronic goods no longer have to travel to central Abu Dhabi or Dubai to avail themselves of a full range of products," said Mohamad El Sabawi, General Manager of Wahat Hili Mall. "As an anchor store, Emax packs in a vast array of both brown and white goods from the widest range of manufacturers. These are pegged at the most competitive prices, so shoppers from the local community will have a high degree of cost-effective choice offerings right on their doorstep," he added.

Neelesh Bhatnagar, CEO of Emax Electronics added: "As we are keen on getting closer to customers, we have seized the opportunity that has arisen recently in Al Ain Wahat Hili Mall to open our first store to cater to the needs of customers in the city and the eastern region. As has been the case in every other markets we're operating in, we have equipped our new store with a highly diversified repertoire of consumer electronics and home appliances as well as a professionally trained salesforce to ensure that our customers in Al Ain will have the most convenient and rewarding shopping experience."

The inauguration of Emax is significant in the progressive opening of Wahat Hili Mall, with more high end brands due to take up the remaining retail space shortly. Recent brand names moving in to the three-storey, 30,000 square-metre gross leasable area development include the family entertainment centre My Play Zone and other Landmark Group outlets, Baby Shop, Splash, Shoexpress and Lifestyle. The mall's biggest anchor, Géant Hypermarket, is another brand that has made its debut in the city, occupying over 6,900 square-metres of retail space.

"This final phase of retail store openings means that we can now truly cater for everyone's needs at Wahat Hili Mall," said El Sabawi. "We boast some of the world's most popular and renowned brands for goods retailing, food and beverage and leisure. The range of products and services we offer is encapsulated in our slogan, 'your everyday destination' and we are now fully in a position to raise the profile of the UAE's fourth largest city," he added.

Landmark Group is one of the main investors in Wahat Hili Mall, which opened its doors to customers in September this year. The Group aims to capitalise on the UAE's consumer electronics market being one of the largest in the Gulf, accounting for close to 40 per cent of regional spending.[1]
