Thousands of emails pour in requesting to participate in the new season

Dubai, 8 May 2007: Thousands of viewers have been emailing MBC3 requesting to take part in the next season of the channel's favourite reality TV program: Eish Safari. The emails started pouring in during the last episode of the second season last week, when it was announced on-air that Eish Safari 3 will begin a casting campaign this month to select next season's contestants.

A total of ten thousand emails were received in the four hours following the on-air announcement, forcing the channel's IT staff to take emergency measures to handle the extra traffic and avoid a system crash.

"We expected Eish Safari 2 to be popular with our young friends in the region and anticipated the high levels of excitement at the announcement of the third season," said Tim Riordan - MBC Group TV Director. "What took us by surprise is the number of email requests we received from viewers wishing to join casting for Season 3, more than 100,000 emails we received way before we even announced producing a third season!"

Eish Safari 2, which was shot on location in Thailand was a huge hit following the success of the first season last year, there has been a steady barrage of emails and calls from viewers reacting to their team's performance and supporting their favorite participants.

MBC3's production team is currently getting ready for a casting roadshow that will take them to KSA, UA, Egypt and Morocco where they will select the next 16 heroes to star in Eish Safari 3 planned to be shot in Australia.
