Essentis Card Management System to Speed Time-to-Market for Product Launches and Development of New Services
STOCKHOLM - SchlumbergerSema, a business unit of Schlumberger Limited (SLB:NYSE), today announced that the Norwegian software house EDB Fellesdata AS has chosen its Essentis solution to manage its credit and payment card processing operations.
The SchlumbergerSema Essentis solution manages the core processing functions that are crucial to payment card processing, including card issuance and merchant acquisition, as well as management of clearing and settlement between card processing organizations and major payment networks. The Essentis system is compliant with Europay, MasterCard, Visa and JCB.
EDB Fellesdata will install the SchlumbergerSema Essentis Issuer system to manage its credit card issuing and transaction processing services, and the Essentis Interchange system for managing the interchange process with the payment networks.
"The SchlumbergerSema Essentis solution is a more sophisticated software platform," said Eva Trasti, head of Payment Systems, EDB Fellesdata. "Converting our existing credit card processing operations onto the Essentis system will enable us to expand and improve the payment card services that we offer our customers within the banking and finance market."
"EDB Fellesdata's decision to select the Essentis solution once again illustrates the high quality system that SchlumbergerSema has developed," said Carina Carlstr?m, manager, Financial Services, SchlumbergerSema.
