Initiative to boost operational efficiency of resident companies

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 04, 2015: Economic Zones World (EZW), the global provider of sustainable industrial and logistics solutions, is going to invest AED 200 million on the TechnoPark (TP) infrastructure enhancement, which includes development of new road-network, access gates, as well as the up-gradation of existing road-systems and street lighting. EZW, as a part of its "Go Green Drive", plans to install LED street lighting across the entire park soon.

Senior EZW management revealed its new infrastructure development plan in TechnoPark, at the recently held EZW Customer Forum for TechnoPark companies.

Talal Al Hashimi, Chief Operations Officer, in his welcome address highlighted key EZW initiatives that aim at providing TechnoPark companies an eco-system that allows them to pursue their growth strategies with greater ease and focus.

Al Hashimi said:

"Our new infrastructure development plan will not only address traffic congestion problem TechnoPark companies are currently facing but also provide them with much efficient multi-modal logistics capabilities to move their products across the region. The forums are part of EZW's ongoing efforts of maintaining open channels of communication with its customers, and provide a platform to discuss global trends and opportunities in each industry sector. The forums also provide an opportunity to EZW management and customers to enter into a comprehensive dialogue to find ways to take optimum advantage of emerging opportunities and boost growth in respective industry segments.

"These forums also provide companies an opportunity to share their remarkable achievements and best practices for the benefit of all." He was referring to distinctive achievements of several TechnoPark based companies in the area of sustainability. He also talked about community portal that EZW has recently launched as an exclusive online marketplace for buyers and sellers within huge EZW customers community across all its business units including Jafza, one of the world's top free zones. The portal allows all EZW companies to display their products and services as well as their company profile and contact details. "The portal is a great tool for companies to reach out to their potential business partners within the EZW community," he added.

HE Salma Hareb, CEO of Economic Zones World, the parent company of TechnoPark, Jafza and Dubai Auto Zone (DAZ), commenting on new EZW initiatives said:

Leading industry players including Eaton, Pacific Controls, Baker Hughes, Proclad Group, Torishima, Sapin and Chilly Willy among others attended the forum.

Senior EZW officials and partners including Dubai Customs, DP World, Dubai Trade, Dubai Chamber and Trakhees addressed customer concerns and listened to their suggestions to enhance TechnoPark and its companies' competitiveness.

DEWA officials made a brief presentation on WETEX 2015, a region's leading water, energy, technology and environment exhibition and invited TechnoPark companies to take part in this highly prestigious event. WETEX 2015 will be held from April 21 - 23 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

TechnoPark is currently home to 189 world's leading technology-driven companies in the construction, metal, engineering, machinery, technology, FMCG, water, healthcare, environment, energy, transport and logistics sectors.
