Dubai, UAE - Power management company Eaton today announced the latest generation in its Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) range. Designed with efficiency and flexibility in mind, the 5PX Gen2 delivers reduced cost of ownership, ease of operation and enhanced service continuity. With cybersecurity in mind, the 5PX Gen2 is targeted at today’s most demanding enterprise and Edge IT applications.
The new Eaton 5PX Gen2 UPS provides enterprise networks and Edge IT equipment with best-in-class line-interactive power protection maximizing IT space and service continuity. Eaton 5PX Gen 2 offers powerful tools for remote monitoring, integration with IT architecture, and remote deployment. Eaton’s Intelligent Power Software seamlessly integrates with leading virtualisation environments and cloud orchestration tools.
The innovative graphical LCD display makes configuration of the 5PX Gen2 easy and intuitive. The UPS offers an easy start-up configuration wizard to simplify the UPS setup process. Remote management and firmware upgrades are available with the optional Eaton Gigabit network management card.
The 5PX Gen2 delivers 11% more power to connected servers than other UPS thanks to its unity power factor capability. It is Energy Star 2.0 certified for maximum efficiency across the full operating range. Energy is metered for each individual outlet group and is visible directly on the display and through Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager.
Connected devices can be prioritized for maximum uptime of essential services. Power switching and disaster recovery can be easily managed with load segment control. Netpack models further protect digital content with dual cybersecurity certifications (UL 2900-1 and IEC 62443-4-2) and offer connection to Eaton’s Cyber Secured Monitoring cloud.
The 5PX Gen2 is available in four sizes from 1000 VA to 3000 VA with versatility for both rack and tower setups. The 5PX Gen2 2200VA & 3000VA are available in RT2U format (optimized for rack mounting) or RT3U (for tower or short-depth racks). Pedestal and rail kits are included with all models. The 5PX Gen2 is available with Eaton’s enhanced connected warranty.
