Dubai, UAE, 21 October 2003: Dynix Vice President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Mr. Marc Carden, delivered a speech and a presentation at the Datamatix Gitex 2003 Conference. Mr. Carden’s presentation entitled: “Digital Library and e-Documentation Technologies” elaborated on the challenges facing today’s libraries and library professionals in fields of e-documents and e-storage. Mr. Carden also presented solutions developed by Dynix such as the Horizon Library Management System, and Horizon DigitaLink and Digital Library solutions.
Commenting on the Event Mr. Carden Said “Gitex Dubai is growing each year, and it was a pleasure to contribute to this year’s conference. The region is undergoing big developments in library services and there are important initiatives for moving towards digital libraries. Hence, It is important for organizations in the region to adopt these solutions that meets local information and cultural needs”. Mr. Caden also mentioned that it is important for senior executives from international corporations to visit the region so that they learn directly from local experiences and transfer this knowledge to there development teams.
