Ducab, the leading manufacturer of high-quality power cables in the Middle East, has bagged a year-long contract worth AED 13.5 million, for the supply of 11 kV Medium Voltage (MV) cables to the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA).
The contract was signed between H.E. Mohammed Al Hameli, Chairman of FEWA and Farid Mohammed Ahmed, Senior General Manager, UAE Operations, Ducab.
Commenting on the deal, Saeed Majid Al Shamsi, General Manager, FEWA said, "To fulfil our commitment of offering the highest level of services to our clients , we deal with suppliers who are renowned for the quality of their products and services and this made us choose Ducab for the supply of these Medium Voltage cables."
"We are delighted at being awarded this prestigious contract by the country's premier utility authority. FEWA's continued patronage of our products and services bears testimony to our reputation in the market as a reliable supplier of top-quality cables. The deal highlights the strong relationship Ducab has built over the years with FEWA through its timely delivery and professional services," said Farid Mohammed Ahmed.
Ducab had earlier fulfilled supply contracts with FEWA on the 33 kV single core cables for the utility's expanding power grid network in the Northern Emirates in 2005. This contract is one of several important deals signed by Ducab in recent weeks, which have taken its order book beyond the AED 600 million mark.
"Ducab's adherence to high quality standards has made it the preferred cable supplier for a number of prestigious projects in the Arab world. With a team of qualified and dedicated employees, state-of-the-art manufacturing units and an unwavering commitment to quality, Ducab is uniquely positioned to meet the most stringent market demands," Ahmed added.
Earlier this year, the company secured a two-year supply contract worth AED 341 million with the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority in addition to an equally significant AED 226 million contract with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to supply MV and Low Voltage cables for the emirate's expanding power distribution network.
