Dubai, 19 July, 2012 - Dubai-Sat 1 has captured an image of Mina Al Arab in Ras Al Khaimah from its orbit 680 kilometers above the earth's surface. The satellite captures images which can be used for scientific or humanitarian purposes.
Mina Al Arab features residential apartments in lively waterfront neighborhoods with retail outlets, restaurants and cafes. The community has private beaches, tennis courts, swimming pools and other leisure facilities.
The Image also highlights the ICE Land Water Park, a themed water park, complete with the world's largest man-made waterfall in the Middle East.
EIAST launched DubaiSat-1 in July 2009, and is working on the final stages of DubaiSat-2. Twenty UAE engineers have been designing, developing, testing and manufacturing DubaiSat-2 which will be launched towards the end of this year.
