E-Media bags two prestigious e-content awards in the e-business category for the Middle East.
Dubai, December 27th 2005: Dubai-based E-Media FZ LLC has bagged the World Summit Award for Best E-Content & Creativity (2005). The Jotun Professionals Network (www.jotun.com/me/profnet) produced by E-Media was judged as the world's best example of e-content and creativity.
The WSA Grand Jury of experts from 35 countries met in Bahrain recently to evaluate over 750 products, which were nominated from 168 countries.
This award is the first of its kind for the Middle East in the field of interactive advertising and marketing. A highly distinguished and expert jury judged projects across six categories (e-learning, e-government, e-culture, e-science, e-business and e-health) using stringent criteria.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vinod R. Nayar, Managing Director, E-Media said, "The WSA Awards is a first major step towards setting quality standards for integrated marketing in the Middle East, as well as educating businesses about the huge potential for marketing returns in interactive media."
It was a double whammy for E-Media as they also bagged this year's UAE E-Content Awards for Best Practices in E-business, for the same portal. Organized by Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Village in association with the World Summit Award (WSA), the UAE E-Content Awards honoured the region's best interactive content-powered Web and multimedia projects.
The four-year old E-Media has already bagged prestigious new media clients such as Sony Gulf, Al Shirawi Group, IFFCO, U21 Global, Emax (Landmark Group), Zee Arabia, Eqarat.com and Oman Fisheries and forty other clients.

The awards go to show that quality interactive content is key to building communities online."
The Jotun Professionals Network won on the following criteria such as quality and comprehensiveness of content; functionality; navigation and orientation; value addition through interactivity and multimedia; aesthetic value of graphics/audio; quality of craftsmanship (technical realization) and strategic importance for the global development of the Information Society.
