Leading Dubai-based global holding company sets up corporate governance policies in line with international standards

DUBAI, 19 November 2006--Dubai World, one of the largest holding companies in the world focused on development, hospitality, investment, commodities, marine services, ports and free zones, has implemented Websense Web Security Suite from Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ: WBSN), a global leader in web security and web filtering productivity software. This key web security solution is being implemented by the Information Technology Centre (ITC), a division of Dubai World that provides centralized IT services for the group, as part of its ongoing efforts to revamp the group's IT infrastructure to better serve its growing needs worldwide.

A majority of the computer users in Dubai World has access to the Internet. ITC wanted to secure this access from viruses, hackers and the use of some personal applications whilst making better use of available bandwidth, allowing freedom for necessary access for the group's operations globally. Websense Security Suite has been implemented and running for over a month at Dubai World, giving its network administrators the opportunity to monitor Internet use by its employees. Reports generated by the solution are being used to form the basis for group Internet access control polices like the use of instant messaging which is "fast becoming a vital business tool".
