Oracle partner Intelligent Corporate Solutions Selected to Manage the Implementation

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, April 30 2006 - Dubai Sports City, a master-planned, master-developed sporting and lifestyle community within the Dubailand development, has selected the Oracle E-Business Suite to manage its finances, purchasing and customer care.  As part of the agreement with Oracle, Dubai Sports City will also utilize the company's property management and project costing solutions to help effectively oversee the build-out and leasing of more than 1200 villas and 800 apartments within the community.

Initially, the elements of the Oracle E-Business Suite deployment anticipated to deliver the most value to Dubai Sports City are Oracle Financials and Oracle Purchasing.  The financial solution, which includes accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and cash management, will give Dubai Sports City's management an up-to-the-minute, integrated view over all of the organization's funds.  Similarly, procurement is a major element of Dubai Sports City, which will ultimately be home to an 18-hole golf course, stadiums for cricket and hockey, a sports hospital, a 65,000-seat multi-use outdoor venue, a 10,000-seat multi-purpose indoor venue, residential and commercial real estate components as well as retail hubs and a shopping mall.  Oracle Purchasing will enable centralization and automation of the buying process, which should bring about greater transparency and a more efficient buying process overall.

"Given the property boom and the real renaissance in sporting pursuits taking place in the Emirates, Dubai Sports City has a fantastic niche within the market and tremendous potential," said Mr Balasubramaniam, CEO, Dubai Sports City.  "However, we need strict controls on our costs and procurement to ensure that we can deliver the project within time and budget guidelines, which the Oracle E-Business Suite is set to help us achieve."

Once deployed, Oracle Customer Relationship Management will also enable Dubai Sports City to have a uniform service approach to villa investors, property companies, the international sporting community, and other interested parties.  Software modules for tele- and field sales as well as marketing will provide a unified, customer-facing platform that helps Dubai Sports City differentiate itself from the country's many other property offerings and communities.

Other critical elements of software to manage the Dubai Sports City development are Oracle Project Costing and Oracle Daily Business Intelligence.  Oracle Project Costing gives line managers an accurate view of costing to monitor project performance, while Dubai Sports City's financial team can track the total cost of the development through one system.  Oracle Daily Business Intelligence is a set of reporting and analysis tools that are integrated with Dubai Sports City's other applications for a 'single source of truth' that highlights the state of the company's finances, sales, and project delivery status at any given time.

"The scope and scale of Dubai Sports City's aspirations mean that the developers must have an integrated approach to financials, project management, and sales and marketing to ensure a quality product that is built, positioned, and delivered properly," commented Ayman Abouseif, Managing Director, Oracle Gulf States.  "The Oracle E-Business Suite, which is the de facto business software for a number of the UAE's most successful developers, is the ideal fit for Dubai Sports City's aims."

Dubai Sports City's management opted for Oracle partner Intelligent Corporate Solutions as the implementer of its new software infrastructure.  "Increasingly, property developers are realizing that the software underpinning their projects can have a comparable value to the cement and steel foundations because of the cost-savings and efficiency that these solutions deliver," said Mr S A Zaman, CEO, Intelligent Corporate Solutions.
