Landowners using www.dubailand.gov.ae can now make online payment transactions through MasterCard, Visa, Amex or eDirham

Dubai Land Department has adopted Dubai eGovernment's ePay System to allow users of its portal, www.dubailand.gov.ae, to make online payments. ePay is a centralized payment gateway integrated with the payment systems of government departments, thereby enabling payment either through credit cards or eDirham.

Malik-Owner portal, one of the services hosted on the Dubai Land Department website, is an online portal designed exclusively for landowners in Dubai, where they can make inquiries, conduct business transactions, obtain title deeds and detailed maps of land sites, as well as duplicate copies of certificates and documents.

Landowners can now use the ePay system to make payments for replacement deeds of titles issued to them following loss or damage of the original title deed and for site plans issued on request. They can also use ePay to make payment transactions for evaluations carried out by the specialist committee at the Land Department upon the request of the owner. For these and other transactions, landowners will find online payments extremely convenient, since ePay accepts MasterCard, Visa, Amex or eDirham.

Salem Al-Shair, eServices Director, Dubai eGovernment, said, "Dubai Land Department's decision to adopt ePay System represents a major step forward in our efforts to move government services to an online platform and thus ease the lives of clients of the various departments. Dubai eGovernment has already achieved considerable success in this regard by tying up with several government departments in Dubai, and we are on track to achieve our target of ensuring that 90 per cent of government services are made available online by the end of 2007."

Sultan Butti Mujren, Director General, Dubai Land Department, said, "With Dubai continuing to grow at a rapid pace, it has become imperative upon the city's government departments to reflect this growth by easing processes and providing advanced and user-friendly services. The move to adopt ePay is a step in this direction, and will prove greatly beneficial to users of our www.dubailand.gov.ae service as they can now carry out all payment transactions through a secure online platform."

The ePay System is used by several organizations, including Dubai Municipality Department of Health and Medical Services, Dubai Police, Department of Civil Aviation, Tejari and eTQM College.

Dubai Municipality has numerous ePay supported services, including payment of parking fines, building permits, clearance for industrial projects, health certificates, Knowledge Dirham fees, hazardous waste disposal service etc. eTQM has an advanced website where you can buy courses or books online,  while Dubai Police's traffic payments and driving license renewals are heavily used ePay services, among many other services.
