Date: Dubai, UAE: The Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE) organised by the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DIPP), held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, concluded on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The three-day eventful exhibitions witnessed the launch of 11 initiatives and 18 announcements that will change the way government departments and public institutions deliver public service.
Thousands of visitors thronged the different pavilions set up by public entities of the UAE and GCC countries showcasing their latest products, services and innovations.
Hazza Khalfan Al Nuaimi, General Coordinator of the Dubai Government Excellence Program said: “The Dubai International Achievement Award for Government Achievement in its sixth edition was a great success and attracted thousands of visitors and participants. We are proud that the Dubai Government Excellence Program has been able to move the exhibition to a distinct level of organization and knowledge content, encouraging regional and international government entities to participate in the exhibition. Innovative Projects on the Innovator Iobby Platform
The innovators' booth at the exhibition witnessed the presentation of innovative and innovative projects in various fields that contribute to enhancing the system of innovation in government work, and the dedication of the concepts of creativity and excellence, and the innovators participating in the exhibition expressed their happiness with this participation, which is an opportunity for them to introduce their creativity and provide an image of the elements and factors of innovation In their government agencies, and highlighted the projects presented:
- Unmanned surveillance and inspection aircraft
Atta Aboushi, Project Engineer, Waste Treatment Department, Waste Management, Dubai Municipality, explained the project on the use of UAV systems as a means of monitoring, inspection and environmental awareness. "This project is the first of its kind in the Middle East, Which allows for the removal of the human factor and traditional equipment such as vehicles and cameras in the traditional monitoring and inspection, where the aircraft can cover large areas in less time with a reduction of costs by up to 85%, and can access places that the inspector can’t reach the normal, Used in waste dumps and open desert, beaches and areas of investment and regions, as well as eco-friendly.”
- X-ray examination
Mohammed Karam Mohammed, a gemstone analyst at the Dubai Central Laboratory at Dubai Municipality, spoke about his invention of x-ray in pearl gemstone testing. “We have devised a new method of pearl screening to identify emerging pearl pearls For example, if we receive a contract consisting of 3000 pearls, the old technology will test each bead individually and this will take about thirty working days. - Exceptional testing of electric lamps
The Dubai Central Laboratory - Renewable Energy and Electromechanical Department, which specializes in testing the safety and efficiency of electrical appliances according to IEC, has introduced an innovation for the unusual testing of electric lamps to ensure that lamps are free of toxic or flammable gases that can cause harm to humans. - Clock and robot… for students of Manchester School
A team of creative students from the Manchester School of Jebel Ali introduced two projects. The first is called Band Aid, an hour for people with autism who are connected by applying to the phone and measuring a number of things, such as a heart rate such as sending alert messages to an application if the number of heart beats is high or low. The clock also has a GPS system that can track an autistic patient in the event of his or her leaving without the parents' knowledge. Honoring the employees of the fourth generation system training program
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) honoured the fourth generation training program for government excellence, an intensive training program that lasted for 15 days. The training program focused on concepts and applications of excellence according to the fourth generation system of government excellence aimed at enhancing their contribution to improving the performance of government work within their government bodies and participating in the effective implementation of the fourth generation system as directed by Dubai.
The sixth edition of the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE) was held under the theme of Government Practices: Global Achievements, will take place from April 9 to 11, 2018 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, in which 85 government entities from 21 countries will participate.
