Dubai - United Arab Emirates, 2nd of March, 2010. Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est. - member of Index Holding announced today the launch of two major events during March; the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai) and the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference and Exhibition (DUPHAT) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

AEEDC and DUPHAT are two prestigious events hosted by the emirate of Dubai every year and highly supported by the Dubai Health Authority as they are held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority.

The announcement came at a press conference held today at the Dubai Health Authority Headquarter and was presided by H.E Qhadi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General - Dubai Health Authority, Dr. Tariq Khoory, the Director of the Dental Department at the Dubai Health Authority and the Honorary Chairman of AEEDC Dubai, Dr. Nasser Malik, the Conference Chairman, Dr. Ali Sayed, the Director of Pharmaceutical Services Department at Dubai Health Authority and Chairman of DUPHAT Conference and Mr. Abdul Salam Al Madani Executive Chairman of AEEDC and DUPHAT Conference and Exhibition and President of Index Holding.

H.E Qhadi Al Murooshid commenced the press conference and said "Dubai Health Authority strive to translate the vision of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of Dubai Health Authority, in supporting all medical conferences and exhibitions held in the UAE for their excellent revenues on all sectors in the country, including economy, trade, tourism and other sectors. Such events motivate the economy and development to move forward, and develop the skills and capabilities of the public and private sectors."

For his part, Dr. Tariq Khoory praised the significant increase at AEEDC Dubai every year, in terms of the number of companies and dentists participating in the conference and exhibition. Dr. Tariq also mentioned that this large turnout is due to the global status enjoyed by Dubai as a regional hub for all international companies looking to market and promotes their products to all the region through Dubai.

Dr. Tariq continued "AEEDC Dubai 2010 is to introduce a number of new specialties in dentistry in addition to a lot of new scientific activities included within the program."

Dr. Tariq also mentioned that AEEDC Dubai strives to raise the high standard of medical services in general and dentistry in specific, especially after the World Dental Federation FDI announced last year that AEEDC Dubai is the fifth largest conference and exhibition of its kind in the world, where key oral health professionals from the Middle East and Eastern Asia meet.

Dr. Nasser Malik, the Conference Chairman said that "This year, we have brought the radiography to the scientific program, this subject has been a controversial one for all dentists, and this year we are hosting the world's key specialists to talk intensively about it. Preparations are at full swing, as Dubai gets ready to host the two prestigious annual gatherings of Oral Health professionals and pharmacists. More than 30.000 attendees are expected from the Middle East region and North Africa. In addition, the Dubai World Dental Meeting (DWDM) will commence from the 6th until the 8th of March at the Novotel Hotel adjacent to the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

AEEDC Dubai introduces for the first time the International Orthodontic Meeting and the GCC meeting, in addition to the annual Dubai World Dental Gathering which will be held before the event.

AEEDC 2010 presents for the first time; the International Orthodontic Meeting, the GCC Preventive Dentistry Meeting, which is a specialty conference that will host key note dental officials and ministers who have the influence to pose dental regulations and discuss ways of solving latest problems that Dentists are facing all over the world, in addition to a debate on Implantology and endondics.

AEEDC Dubai is the largest dental conference and exhibition in the Middle East and North Africa and the Asian sub-continent, and it includes variety of specialties within the dental field. Moreover, the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Conference & Exhibition - (DUPHAT) will get underway from the 15th - 17th of March 2010. DUPHAT is one of the largest pharmaceutical events in the region and the world, specialized in pharmacy and its technologies. DUPHAT is also recognized by scientific bodies in the UAE and a number of international scientific organizations and associations specialized in pharmaceuticals and technologies.

Dr. Ali AL Sayed said "DUPHAT Conference and Exhibition is one of the largest events in the region. The conference includes 32 high quality lectures and sessions and 19 workshops delivered by 80 renowned speakers, whom are deans, university professors, consultants, and seniors from prestigious pharmaceutical associations that are covering a variety of specialized pharmaceutical topics. Mr. Al Madani also revealed that the overall space of AEEDC exhibition is more than 20.000 Square meters, while the overall space of DUPHAT exhibition is 5.000 square meters, with 25% increase for each one. More over, the number of companies participating in AEEDC is more than 800 companies while in DUPHAT there are 300 companies on board from more than 120 countries.
