Doha Municipality (Qatar) has taken delivery of the second batch of 6 Abillama semi-trailers for transfer of refuse from the city station to the municipal dumping ground in Doha's outskirt. These semi-trailers have been specially designed to connect to the municipality's static compactors for rear loading of compacted waste. Discharge is done by hydraulic ejection plate.
The trailers operation is fully independent, since each is equipped with a diesel engine powering the hydraulic system. The transfer trailers will prevent collection vehicles from making the long trip between the city and the dump site, thus improving the fleet efficiency and achieving better energy conservation.
