Bahrain's leading community development pledges support for Kingdom's community initiatives

Manama, Bahrain- 25 January 2010: DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, one of Bahrain's biggest mixed-use residential urban developments, continued its various initiatives to support and encourage youth development in the Kingdom with its sponsorship of Galali Club.

The sponsorship of the Muharraq-based club was signed by CEO of DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ, Mr.Aaref Hejres and Mr. Juma Shereeda, Chairman of the Board of Galali Club on Monday, 11 Jan, 2010, further solidifying the company's position as a leader in community development and affecting positive change in the Kingdom.

In addition to supporting the existing local community and its clubs and activities, the self-contained city of DIYAR AL MUHARRAQ will provide much increased access to a wide range of quality public and private amenities, including sports' grounds and community clubs, giving both residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy their favourite sports live a healthy active lifestyle in a family-like community setting.

Founded in 1957, Galali club is one of the founders of Bahrain's Football Federation and several other sporting unions such as volleyball, bowling and chess. The club's history is widely known amongst local sports fans, and has contributed many players and administrators to the national teams. The club is also identified for its colorful cultural activities and competitions held throughout the year.
