Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its corporate practice with the addition of Diwakar Agarwal as a partner in its Dubai office.

"When we launched our office here five years ago, we recognised the importance of having a strong corporate practice. Diwakar's experience not only complements our existing expertise, it enables us to take the next step in the development of our corporate practice in the region."
Diwakar, who joins the Middle East partnership, has extensive experience advising international and regional clients on a broad range of corporate and M&A matters. He has advised on transactions across the Gulf Cooperation Council member states, and the wider Middle East and North Africa region, with a focus on the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia. He will also play an important role in the continued development of the firm's India practice, alongside lawyers in Dubai, London and Singapore. He joins Stephenson Harwood from DLA Piper and brings more than 20 years of experience, of which over 10 years has been in the Middle East.
Having advised clients in the UAE for many years, Stephenson Harwood launched its office in Dubai in 2012. The Dubai team acts for a wide range of listed and private companies, institutions and individuals across the Middle East, providing advice in the areas of marine and international trade, corporate and commercial, asset finance, projects / infrastructure, construction and sanctions.
