Lausanne:  Gather up your family and friends and join the fun this summer in celebrating Fête des Vignerons, the first living Swiss tradition as recognized by UNESCO at Vevey Market Square from July 18 – August 11.

Celebrated only four times in a century, the Winegrowers Festival pays tribute to the various generations of winemakers and laborers in Vevey as it has done since the 18th century by the winegrowers’ association Confrérie des Vignerons (Brotherhood of Winegrowers). The event encourages and promotes the culture of winegrowers in the Lavaux UNESCO region and will involve a number of professional and amateur singers, actors, dancers, and volunteers to commemorate the upcoming occasion.

Walter Loser, Director of GCC Markets at Lausanne Tourism said, “Fête des Vignerons pays tribute to viticultural traditions and dazzles a lot of spectators in Vevey. We are delighted to invite guests to come and discover the history and traditions as well as the activities prepared for the festival that visitors will appreciate.”
