United Arab Emirates, Dubai, February 21, 2013: The top management of the Dubai Health Authority recently attended a workshop on enhancing communication skills through physiological analysis.

The workshop, which was held at The Palace Hotel, was organised by Leo Pharma in cooperation with the DHA pharmacy department and the aim of the workshop was to demonstrate communication enhancement through the renowned Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) technique to measure psychological preferences of how people perceive the world and make decisions.

The workshop was inaugurated by HE Eng. Essa Al Maidoor, Director-General of the DHA in presence of several members of the DHA top management.

The aim of the workshop was to help leaders understand the physiological nuances of individuals and thus categorise them according to those nuances, which in term helps communicate better with team-members.  The workshop was based on the MBTI technique that asserts that people are born with or develop certain preferences. MBTI highlights how these preferences can be classified and communication messages tailored to ensure it is best absorbed and acknowledged by the individual.

Using this technique, leaders can tailor-made the communication messages to ensure it is absorbed by the individual.

Several leadership qualities and its importance were discussed during the course of workshop.

The workshop was attended by several top DHA leaders including HE Khalid Al Sheikh Mubarak, Deputy Director General of the DHA, Mohammad Al Olama, CEO of Hospital Services Sector,  Mohamed Juma Muftah, Director of Administration at the DHA, Jassim Mohd Saleh Al Awadi, Director of Governance and Internal Audit, Gamal Farid Nagi, Director of Financial Operations, Ibrahim Ali Murad, Director of Financial Affairs Department, Yousif Abdel Rahim Al Zarouni, Director of Purchasing & Contracts Department,  Dr Younis Kazim, Director of Medical Affairs at Rashid Hospital, Yousif Mohammed Ibrahim, Director of Finance and Administration at Rashid Hospital, Dr Abdulla Khayat, CEO of Latifa Hospital, Dr Abdelrazzak Al Madani, CEO of Dubai Hospital, etc were present at the workshop.
