Depa Limited announced it has secured a 2 million furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) contract to fit out the whole of the Raithwaite Hall Country Retreat in Yorkshire, United Kingdom, set for completion in October 2011. Depa was appointed by The Skelwith Group, a UK-based residential, commercial and leisure property development Company.
Paul Austin, CEO - Depa UK, commented:
"This is another excellent win in the UK as we continue grow our revenue base across the UK. Over the years, we have completed jobs on world-class hotels such as the FF&E at the Savoy, Grosvenor House and Waldorf Astoria and it is a clear indication of the level of quality that we provide in the luxury hotel market that we continue to secure high-end contracts with key industry players.
The UK remains an important element of our future plans, given the size of the economy and vast potential for high-quality, prestigious work. We are confident that this project will give Depa a footing in the wider UK FF&E market as we look to further establish our credentials in the commercial, residential and hotel sectors."
Depa's work on the Raithwaite Hall Country Hotel is the FF&E of all 45-rooms and suites and the public areas including, lobby areas and the spa. The redevelopment of the 80-acre Raithwaite Hall Country Retreat began in February 2010 to turn it into a five-star hotel and spa. It will be the centrepiece of the development, complemented by further cottages built in the landscaped grounds fishing lakes, waterfalls and botanical gardens. It will be an international destination for weddings, conferences and leisure breaks.
Paul Ellis, Managing Director of the Skelwith Group added:
"This is the last piece of the jigsaw to ensure Raithwaite is an international destination. The appointment of DEPA is a major coup for both the hotel and indeed the area as it will bring a new level of opulence to the region.
"The finished hotel will be one of the finest hotels in Yorkshire and will be a beacon of tranquillity and luxury for our guests and visitors."
Depa UK has previously worked on London-based hotel projects such as Grosvenor House, Four Seasons Canary Wharf, Le Meridien Waldorf and the Savoy; in addition to UK-based hotels at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and York.
