Dubai, UAE, 30th August 2007 - Following on the very strong growth in the 2006 period, Dell Middle East will present its new generation products for home, small business and large enterprise users at Gitex and Gitex Computer Shopper.

In 2007, Dell introduced an array of services for business customers and consumers in the Middle East regions. Dell's Enterprise and Client Support Services provide robust, flexible support for servers, storage systems, notebooks and desktops. These state-of-the-art services help ensure IT systems consistently achieve their performance potential.

The new branded services investment will see Dell increase the availability of spares by managing the spare parts and logistics through base warranty for commercial and consumer products. Through Platinum Plus and Gold service for Enterprise clients, Dell provides a 4-hour onsite rapid response time, plus fast resolution for software troubleshooting and proactive hardware support. In addition, Dell's Client Support provides customers with Next Business Day On-Site (NBD) or Return to Depot (RTD) Services for their notebook and desktop systems.

"Dell continues to grow in the region, investing in its business to support the evolving needs of its customers", explained Michael Collins, General Manager, Dell Middle East. "Dell will expand its business potential in the region through a long standing alliance with its strategic partners and will provide customers superior value while meeting their needs with differentiated services and innovative products".

Dell will showcase a range of new products this year at Gitex; the new Latitude D630, D830 and D430 notebooks offer better mobility, increased performance and customer choice with enhanced storage, better connectivity and energy efficiency. The Latitude D430 takes this one step further by providing mobile professionals with a small, ultra-light notebook packed with the latest features that allow them to conduct business on the go. The latest Dell mobile professional workstations, the Precision M4300, delivers enhanced levels of performance and features in a mobile platform to help engineers, artists, developers and other professionals run business-critical applications.

Following on the success of the XPS systems (XPS M2010, M1210 & M1710), consumers in the Middle East can now purchase the world's thinnest 13.3" notebook, the XPS M1330 that has captured the imagination of consumers around the world who want the highest computing performance whenever and wherever they are. Customers can personalize their XPS M1330 with a choice of three colours: Tuxedo Black, Pearl White or Crimson Red.

One of the new Dell products being introduced is the XPS 710 H2C for PC enthusiasts and high end gamers. The system, a first, incorporates a two-stage cooling process. First, a liquid-to-air heat exchanger works like a car's radiator and fan system to remove heat from the processor resulting in the highest performance from the system and processor.

The new Inspiron line-up of colourful notebooks and desktops underscores Dell's commitment to offering consumers with quality digital products that are custom-tailored to meet their lifestyles. The Inspiron 1720, 1721 (17-inch), Inspiron 1520 and 1521 (15.4-inch) are available in a rich palette of eight colour choices, including Ruby Red, Midnight Blue and Jet Black. The new Dell Inspiron 530 and 531 desktops are also making their debut in the Middle East.

"Dell is committed to offering its customers the latest technology at the best value and quality", Collins said. "This year Dell will be providing a strong offering of new products available immediately, ranging from SoHo products to Enterprise applications and power solutions".

For enterprise customers the PowerEdge 2970 and the PowerEdge Energy Smart 2970 servers reduce power consumption and deliver dramatic improvements in performance and performance per watt.

Dell will present at Gitex the new Vostro brand of notebooks and desktops built with focus on professional design, quality and value, shipped with no unwanted trialware and customized to meet the unique needs of SMB businesses.

Also on display will be Dell's newly expanded portfolio of enterprise solutions, including PowerEdge (tower, blade and rack) servers and Dell | EMC storage systems.

As in previous years, Dell will participate in the annual Gitex main hall show through its UAE partners, Emirates Computers (Hall 4, stand C4-1), Key Information Technology (Hall 3, stand 305) and Mindware (Hall 4, stand D-11). Dell will also have a visibly stronger presence than in previous years at Computer Shopper where its products will be available to the public. On offer to Computer Shopper visitors will be Dell's desktops, notebooks along with its range of printers and other peripherals.
