Eight weeks of International Calls at the Cheapest Rates on Offer in New Campaign

Qtel today announced a promotion for their popular Dawli International Card, allowing customers to take advantage of even lower rates when making overseas calls.

The offer is the latest in a series of promotions designed to make calling abroad easier and more affordable for people across Qatar.

Under the promotion, customers can take advantage of a reduced call initiation fee. This fee is reduced from QR 1 per call to only QR 0.25 per call.

This means that a Qtel customer placing a call to a GCC landline during peak hours that would have been charged at  QR 2 for the first minute (International Tariff and Initiation Fee) is now charged just QR 1.25 for the first minute - a saving of more than 37 percent on the standard rates.

Equally, calls to countries in the wider Middle East and North Africa region are discounted by 30 percent and Asia calls are discounted by 27 percent for the first minute during this promotion.

Peak rates apply from 7am to 7pm on an all week days (Saturday to Thursday) & Off-Peak rates apply from 7pm to 7am on all week days, and all day on Friday.

Adel Al Mutawa, Executive Director, Group Communications, Qtel, said: "Qtel's Dawli International Card gives our customers great value, flexibility and convenience. They can call their friends and loved ones around the world anytime they want, at a really low price."

This latest Dawli promotion also includes two new features to enhance functionality for Qtel customers.

Firstly, the Dawli International Card can now link with your phone number. With this new feature, customers will be able to make calls without entering the card number every time they make a call. Secondly, with Dawli's new redial feature, customers will be able to redial the last dialed number without entering the card and destination numbers all over again.

Al Mutawa explains: "The Dawli service not only provides the best overseas calling rates in Qatar. These new services offer convenience and speed for customers. Our latest research indicated that customers needed more advanced features and they wanted to be able to talk more using their cards - we are happy that we can offer our customers these promotions to ensure that they can remain in touch."

Dawli International Cards can be used from any Qtel mobile or landline and are available in QR 10, 30 and 50 denominations from all Qtel shops and authorized dealers.

This is a limited promotion scheduled to run for only eight weeks.
