The hospital continues to demonstrate its leadership by providing patients with innovative technology that leads to better quality healthcare

Kuwait - 11 June, 2012: Dar Al Shifa Hospital announced today the arrival of the Fraxel Dual machine, a new laser based technology which specializes in providing effective non-ablative FRAXEL skin resurfacing. The new machine has proved to offer great safety record, and delivers sound results for all skin types, on and off the face--with minimal disruption to patients' daily routine.

The Fraxel Dual wavelength laser has been engineered to treat across a variety of conditions, on all skin types and anywhere on the body. Since it delivers a positive epidermal turnover with each treatment, nearly all patients see gradual steady. The wavelengths used in this machine include 1550nm laser which treats scars, treatment of pigment irregularities, wrinkles, skin photodamage, mild to moderate periorbital wrinkles, acne scars, along with the new 1927nm Thulium laser, which is used for better clearance of pigment irregularities or dyschromias on the entire body, including facial melisma.

Dar Al Shifa Hospital's Consultant Dermatology and Head of department, Dr. Mohammed Al Qasmi said: "The Fraxel Dual machine is the only laser with this groundbreaking wavelength technology. The new wave of 1550nm laser provides treatment of deep collagen layer, while the other wave of 1927 provides more superficial type of treatment without ablating the superficial layer of the skin which occurs with other older adding laser machines.

"We are proud to introduce this unique machine in Kuwait for the first time, as part of our continuous efforts of providing a complete sound healthcare service to all of our patients," added Dr. Mohammed Al Qasimi.
