LONDON - 21 March 2006 - D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for consumers and business, today announces the launch of two next generation Layer2+ Gigabit switches that offer SMB's and enterprises unparalleled performance, flexibility, security and multi-layer Quality of Service (QoS).

The xStack DGS-3400 series offers high Gigabit port densities for desktop connections, SDP fibre connectivity, 10-Gigabit Ethernet uplink options and enhances Layer2+ functions. The switches comprise the workgroup access-layer stack for seamless integration with L3 core switches to form part of a multi-level network structured with high-speed backbone and centralised servers.

  • L2/L3/L4 Multi-layer Access Control List and QoS

  • Advanced security such as TACACS+, MAC-IP binding

  • Extensive VLAN support including GARP/GVRP

  • Traffic segmentation and bandwidth control down to 64Kbps granularity
