Coral Hotels & Resorts soft launched its latest property in Dubai today. The newly-opened Coral Al Khoory Hotel Apartments is brilliantly located within walking distance of the Mall of the Emirates and Ski Dubai and is Coral's third property in the prestigious Al Barsha area.

Mr Mohammed Tayyeb Khoory, the owner of Coral Al Khoory Hotel Apartments who is considered among the leading businessmen in the UAE, said; 'We are pleased to announce the opening of Coral Al Khoory Hotel Apartments which will serve as an address of luxury and privilege in new Dubai. It is a unique property as it has been conceived and constructed bearing in mind the needs of both short and long-staying guests. The combined efforts of our extremely talented and experienced team are visible in the minutest details.'

Michel Noblet, CEO, HMH - Hospitality Management Holdings, said: 'Coral Al Khoory Hotel Apartments makes an excellent addition to our portfolio of hotels. Like our other hotels, this stylish new property has been specially designed to suit business travellers and tourists alike providing cutting-edge international hospitality standards and services. In addition, it offers the ultimate convenience and easy accessibility to the city's key business and touristic landmarks.'

Pierre Sokhon, General Manager, Coral Al Khoory Hotel Apartments, said: 'The hotel features 144 spacious and well-appointed deluxe apartments. Ranging from studios to one, two and three bedrooms - each apartment is beautifully decorated and equipped with the latest amenities and comforts including a lovely balcony. Diners can enjoy a wide variety of international dishes and refreshing beverages at Rumours Café - Coral's signature restaurant. To relax and unwind we have a temperature-controlled swimming pool as well as a state-of-the-art fitness centre Gym & Tonic.'

Coral Al Khoory Hotel Apartments celebrates its soft opening with an exciting introductory 50 % discount on rack rates. Pierre said, 'We are pleased to welcome our first guests with this special offer. It means an enormous saving especially during the festive season.'

The launch of Coral Al Khoory Hotel Apartments comes at a pivotal moment. Michel remains confident that Dubai will be able to withstand any economic slump and sees great growth potential for tourism in Dubai - it being the Gulf's most ambitious city state. He said, 'Dubai is definitely not immune from the global financial crisis. However, compared to the rest of the world, the city is still quite calm. Tourism has played an important role in the diversification of the city's economy since the 1990s and now accounts for a third of its economy. Dubai will bounce right back.'

According to industry experts, strong economic growth in the Middle East, coupled with the huge potential for expansion in the tourism industry over the next few years, will create a significant demand for hotel rooms throughout the Gulf. Dubai plans to treble the number of hotel beds from the current 44,000 - nearly all of them five-star - to 127,000 by 2016. The number of hotels and hotel apartments is expected to increase from 452 in 2007, to 488 by 2010, and to 554 by 2016.

Michel said, 'Dubai has an established tourist infrastructure with a targeted tourism strategy. Over the next few years, Dubai will be rolling out a series of attractions, including names such as Legoland, SeaWorld and Universal Studios and more golf courses and shopping malls that are bound to keep the tourists coming.'
