Security, storage and IT management solutions among highlights as CA puts on a big show

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - October 3rd, 2004

Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE:CA), the world's largest management software company, today announced it would be showcasing its cutting edge solutions on its debut at GITEX Dubai 2004.

Visitors to CA 's stand G9-1 in the Sheikh Rashid Hall will see at first hand the full range of software solutions that have gained such a strong foothold among FORTUNE 500 companies and some of the leading enterprises in the in the Arab world. These solutions will include the CA's eTrust security management solutions, labelled "the trusted advisor in security management", as well as CA's flagship, Unicenter IT infrastructure management solutions.

CA will also showcase a unique suite of solutions that provide 'total protection' to small and medium enterprises through offering a software package that encompasses affordable and easy to use storage, security and infrastructure management tools.

Xeca, a CA partner company in Saudi Arabia, is also participating on the CA stand at Gitex.

Ned Jaroudi, the newly appointed regional marketing director for Computer Associates subsidiary covering the Arab world said: "We will demonstrate how our solutions across the board support emerging technologies gaining grounds in the Arab World, including Web services and wireless environments."

He added: "Only yesteday, we announced that our direct presence in the region would immediately translate into actions that would reflect our commitment to our customers and partners in the Arab World. Our participation at GITEX, along with the global management and technical team that will be present at the show, means that the wealth of resources that CA deploys globally is now available to our customers in the region."

According to Jaroudi, the past two years have witnessed a tremendous change in the technology deployment landscape in the region, especially in sectors that have traditionally shied away from investing in complex implementations - such as governments and education institutions as well as the small and medium enterprises. He explains that as businesses and governments turn to technology to achieve competitiveness and increased productivity, the new IT ecosystem has created a whole set of challenges for decision makers and IT administrators alike.
