SCC’s financial committee to support all entities working hard to foster Sharjah’s sustainable economic development
Sharjah: The Financial, Economic, and Industrial Affairs Committee at the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting its collaboration with all public and private entities concerned with the emirate’s economic affairs in order to develop their strategic plans and increase their contributions to Sharjah's sustainable development.
HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, Chairman of the SCC's Financial, Economic, and Industrial Affairs Committee, made these remarks while leading a high-level delegation to BEEAH Group, the industry leader in sustainability and environmental solutions, where he was received by BEEAH Group CEO Khaled Al Huraimel.
The visiting delegation included HE Maryam Rashid Ahmed bin Al Sheikh, Committee Rapporteur, HE Suhail Salem Suwaidan Al Kaabi, HE Abdullah Ibrahim Mousa; HE Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Al Kous, HE Abdullah Mohammed Nasser Al Owais, HE Jamal Mohammed Bin Howiden, Member of the Committee, Amna Salem Basalib, Secretary of the Committee, and Islam Al Shaiwi, journalist.
During the visit to BEEAH’s premises, the guests were briefed on the group’s integrated solutions in the fields of environmental management, renewable energy, technology, and sustainable modes of transport.
Following the tour, the committee held its fourth regular session of the tenth term to discuss a number of topics as well as plans to advance Sharjah's economic diversification goal. The committee reaffirmed its keenness to constantly cooperate with the entities concerned with improving the Emirate's economic situation.
HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa emphasized that the committee is making every effort to realize its strategic plans and support SCC’s policies, which are aimed at boosting the emirate's economic progress and empowering economic sectors to reach the highest growth rates possible.
He stressed that the committee will remain committed to fostering Sharjah’s competitiveness while also promoting its reputation as a regional hub for investment and business.
Al Midfa went on to say that the visit to BEEAH aimed to reinforce cooperation with the bodies concerned with supporting Sharjah’s economic development.
He spoke highly of the role played by BEEAH Group and lauded its contributions to supporting Sharjah’s circular economy practices and providing a sustainable business environment in accordance with the best international practices.
