Ras Al Khaimah: Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) welcomed a prominent Indian delegation of over 40 business owners who explored potential investment opportunities in the emirate. The visit was a follow-up to a successful business exchange programme hosted by RAKEZ in Kerala during the fourth quarter of last year.

The delegation included entrepreneurs and founders from a variety of sectors such as healthcare, IT, FMCG, media and entertainment, education, trading, e-commerce, travel and tourism, and manufacturing, all keen to learn about the business set-up services and facilities offered by RAKEZ.

Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ, said, “It was a pleasure to host such an enthusiastic group of entrepreneurs and showcase the support offered by RAKEZ to Indian investors looking to establish a foothold in the Middle East.”

"Our country has shared a special connection with Indian investors for decades and our relationship transcends beyond trade and business. Ras Al Khaimah is home to thousands of Indian businesses operating in various sectors and naturally, the majority of top investors at RAKEZ are also from India. We are proud to be the go-to destination for more than 4,300 Indian companies, ranging from startups and SMEs to large manufacturers and industrialists, thriving in our nurturing and supportive ecosystem,” he added.

Dr. Alex Kurian, Chairman of Aayushcare Medical Centre, said: “I’ve been considering investing outside India for about six months and visited RAKEZ to explore more opportunities. Being a doctor based out of GCC, I’m particularly interested in learning about widening my market reach and I’m looking forward to guidance and collaboration with RAKEZ.”

The Indian delegation was given an exclusive tour of two state-of-the-art facilities of RAKEZ’s manufacturing clients and Compass Coworking Centre to give a firsthand idea of how the economic zone is providing the ideal environment for business growth and success. This visit highlights the growing interest in the economic zone among Indian investors, as well as the importance of RAKEZ's facilities and services to the success of these investors. With its favourable business environment, modern infrastructure, and comprehensive business support services, RAKEZ is well-positioned to continue attracting investment from India.

Pradeep Kumar Manappully, Managing Director of Pravaha Softwares & Consultancy Services said, “The visit was highly conducive for us as our target customers are mainly located close to RAKEZ. We learnt there are a lot of opportunities in the UAE, the various company set-up options and the required formalities. I’m confident that we can do business in the UAE through RAKEZ.”
