Doha, Qatar: Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, has announced the introduction of a new biometric technology to its Mobile Banking service, allowing customers to login using their fingerprint. Customers need to register their fingerprint with their mobile device and Commercial Bank’s Mobile Banking app, and once registered they can login securely and conveniently.
Commercial Bank CEO Joseph Abraham said: “We have upgraded our Mobile Banking app to support this innovative feature in line with our strategy of investing in technology to provide the best customer experience for our clients. Biometric security features are an important tool to combat financial fraud and identity theft. Fingerprint technology is not only convenient for the customer but also a secure way for customers to access their Mobile Banking app.”
