Manama (Bahrain): The Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Library & Conference Hall Committee is pleased to announce the issuance of a commemorative gold medal for the National Library and Conference Hall, now under construction.
The gold medal has been minted by Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA), on behalf of the National Committee for the Shaikh Isa Library Project.
The BD12.5 million project, which includes a conference hall, is being built next to the Al Fateh Grand Mosque. The medal is being issued to part finance the project, which is being built in memory of the late Amir, Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
The obverse side of 22-carat commemorative medal bears the portrait of Shaikh Isa, while the reverse side bears an image of the Shaikh Isa Library, which is currently under construction.
The gold medal is of 91.7% purity. It weighs 31.1 grams and has a diameter of 38mm.
Each medal comes in a leather presentation box and can purchased from BMA's Currency Issue Directorate, at a cost of BD300 each.
