Dubai, UAE, March 8th, 2004: cK Calvin Klein Jeans, the globally renowned fashion brand widely regarded as a trendsetter among the youth, recently announced the launch of its new Spring Summer 2004 Collection for men and women which demonstrates a comfortable and relaxed feel for the summer.

Exclusively available at cK Jeans boutique at City Centre, the Spring Summer 2004 collection represents the spirit of the young and trendy in line with its reputation of rendering fashion as a popular culture. The collection is a combination of brushed and washed fabrics for a worn-in look that plays off modern fits and finishes.

“The collection offers a fusion of versatility blended with a palette of contrasting colours to meet the growing appeal of the fashion conscious population of the UAE which is a melting pot of different cultures,” says Ms Bennette Cabacungan, Vice President, Fashion retail, Bin Hendi Enterprises, which holds the franchisee rights of the brand in the region.

The cK Jeans Spring Summer 2004 collection for men displays function and ease and is based on street wear, beachwear, skatewear. The apparel includes low-rise wider leg jeans, taped-seam skate pants and worker jeans with reversed pockets. Also popular are straight leg jeans and low rise boot cuts. The overall emphasis is waistbands, oversized pockets and extended pockets.

The fabrics for men have a textured feel and are blended to look hard but feel soft. They come in a range of cool summer washes: ice and pale, scratched, scraped and hammered. The colours are a palette of contrast – indigo, black, pavement gray, pale blue with accents of washed scarlet, sun yellow and terracotta.

The look for men is exemplified by indigo fine cotton tank-top and ice-wash long-pocket jean with turned-down waistband or by a gray double faced hooded sweatshirt, herringbone new-pocket jean jacket with a beige sprayed wide pant. Another look is a red fine-stripe tank top teamed with gunpowder light gabardine relaxed pant.

Inspired by men’s trousers, the women’s collection includes easy wide-leg pants with waistbands worn turned out and some with stitching on big low pockets. Washes are in a range of different lived-in looks from vintage to subtle low tone stone wash. The colours range from cool blue to bright orange and for the peak of summer it is bright white, new oyster, faded blue and melon.

The women’s collection is an assortment of apparel ranging from denim mini skirts with stitched pockets playing off an oversized anorak in mineral soft windsheeter nylon to a gray compact-cotton wide-leg pant and white lightweight jersey crepe tank-top with drawstring hem and gathered sides.

To cater to women who further seek a trendy yet straightforward look there is indigo denim sundress with a tie-back and hemmed just below the knee and for ultimate summer cool there is an oyster washed sateen wide-leg pant with double jean pockets and pastel stripe washed cheesecloth tank top.

cK Jeans is popular world wide for its simple classic patterns.   Its sensibility, austere and reductive design blended in for the modern world makes it one of the highly sought after fashion brands in the world today.
