A 50-year-old civil engineer has become the last winner of the ENOC/ EPPCO Cash Plus mega draw, walking away with a brand new Chevrolet Aveo hatchback.

Al Sayed Mohamed Hassan Abdul Hadi, a father of four and a resident of Dubai for 21 years, has been using the re-loadable Cash Plus smart cards ever since their launch early this year.

“This is the first time in my life I have won in a promotion although I participate in all ENOC/EPPCO promotions,” Al Sayed said. “I have been using Cash Plus cards since they were launched, as it has excellent features that make me use it more often.”

During a two month campaign, customers buying or topping up the ENOC/EPPCO Cash Plus smart card had the chance to enter fortnightly draws. The campaign proved to be one of the most popular ever to be staged by ENOC/EPPCO.

Hussain Sultan, ENOC Group Chief Executive and Board Member, said: “This promotion achieved a record rise in sales turnover. In all, some 30,000 draw coupons were received and total sales increased 59%.

“High demand also saw us open a new counter in EPPCO House to serve customers and to intensify our training of staff in the cards department to ensure swift issuance of Cash Plus.”

Meanwhile, until the end of this year, Cash Plus card will be part of all ENOC/EPPCO promotional activities. .

ENOC/EPPCO Cash Plus and Select cards are also accepted in the Al Maha network across the Sultanate of Oman through a 'cross-acceptance' strategic tie-up with Omani service station operator Al Maha.

In turn, Al Maha’s customers can use their Smart Fuel Cards and e-Rial cards at any ENOC/EPPCO service station in the UAE.

ENOC-EPPCO operates a world-class network of 162 service stations across Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The Group aims at becoming the leading regional convenience retail marketer of petroleum and related products and services, while achieving continuous improvement in financial results.

Chip-based Cash Plus is the latest innovation in pre-paid, reloadable cards. These cards enable monitoring of transactions, receipts being printed in the card-holder’s name and increase in security. New card holders fill out a registration card, which then ensures access to a host of exclusive, targeted promotions and benefits across the ENOC network. The electronic card can be used to buy fuel, car washes, oil changes and products in the Group’s convenience stores. Cards are re-loadable with an initial minimum loading of AED 100 and can be loaded with any amount in multiples of AED 10.
