Provides USD 25,000 Grant Towards Campus Expansion
Doha- Citibank Qatar, a member of Citi, today has donated USD 25,000 to The American School in Doha (ASD) towards the school's ongoing campus expansion.
Considered among the top providers of quality education in Qatar, ADS was founded in 1988 and over the last four years has grown from a small school of 500 students to a projected enrolment of 1600 students in the academic year 2007-2008, hence the need for expanding its campus, especially middle and high school student facilities.
Farhan Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer for Citibank Qatar, said: "This grant demonstrates our resolve to fulfil our duty as a responsible corporate citizen in Qatar and elsewhere in the region."
Ed Ladd, ASD Director, said, "Thanks to the generous support of corporates like Citibank, the American School of Doha will be able to expand its campus as planned in order to meet the enrolment demands by Qatari and expatriate students alike, and to fulfil its mission as provider of quality education in Qatar and the region."
