Unveils its latest offerings in firefighting equipment at Civil Defense Exhibition

Doha, Qatar -October 17th, 2007 - Chubb Fire, the global leader in fire protection, safety and security solutions, showcased its latest range of hi-tech firefighting nozzles, valves and other accessories at the Civil Defense Exhibition held in Doha earlier this month. The equipment displayed represents the latest innovations in the firefighting industry around the globe.

One of the most widely appreciated pieces of equipment on exhibit was the patented Akron Zero TorqueTM nozzle - made specifically for easier handling, greater control and reduced firefighter fatigue. Mr. Rami Al-Batrawi, Sales & Marketing Manager of Chubb Fire Qatar, said about this breakthrough technology: "Conventional nozzles constantly produce a torque, while they are in operation, which must be resisted by the firefighter at the cost of expending valuable effort and energy. In the Zero TorqueTM nozzle, the pistol grip and the inlet valve are positioned so as to eliminate this torque, thereby making the nozzle far more controllable, even with reduced effort."

Also universally acclaimed was a wide array of Fairbanks Morse Pumps on display, with their comprehensive range of available configurations, capacities and options . "These pumps are ideal for practically any firefighting requirement," explained Mr. Rami Al-Batrawi. Other highlights at the exhibition included the Mercury Master 1000 monitor, the smallest and lightest of all portable 1000 gpm monitors in the firefighting industry that saves valuable time at the fire scene with its quick deployment and compact size.
