Amman - Emphasizing its role as a national organization that supports the local communities in which it operates and as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities for 2018, Central Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO) completed a comprehensive maintenance campaign at a number of schools throughout the Kingdom. Conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the campaign covered Abu Baker Al Sdeeq Primary School for Boys and Al Farouq Primary School for Boys in Aqaba, as well as Al Suhat Mixed Primary School in Rihab, Mafraq.

Maintenance at the three schools encompassed paintworks, sanitary plumbing, repairing of washrooms, water tanks, interior doors, windows and blackboards, in addition to installing fans in several classrooms.  

CEGCO CEO, Nadeem Rizvi, lauded the efforts of the successful campaign’s participants, stating, “Contributing to providing a proper educational environment for our students reaffirms our positive and active role towards our local communities. This initiative is also closely aligned with the CSR programs we implement, especially in the areas in which our stations are located, and reflects our sense of responsibility and belief in the importance of driving overall social development.”
