Cambridge English Language Assessment has also been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in the international trade category.

Now in its 50th year, the UK's most prestigious business awards are made by Her Majesty the Queen every year to recognise successful British companies and organisations. The award, for continuous achievement, recognises six years of double digit growth at Cambridge English.

Saul Nassé, Chief Executive of Cambridge English Language Assessment, says: 'For us at Cambridge English, success is less about the increase in revenue, and more about the impact that we are having on people's lives around the world, opening up opportunities for employment, travel and further education. We have been growing very strongly over the last few years, at a rate that would be the envy of many businesses. We work closely with governments, language schools, and professional networks to reach learners across the globe, and winning this award is testament to the success of those partnerships'.

More and more organisations around the world are choosing Cambridge English exams to measure the English language skills needed for work, study and immigration. Latest figures show Cambridge English exams are now accepted by more than 20,000 organisations around the world.

US-based Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) became the 20,000th institution to officially recognise Cambridge English exams. The exams, developed by a department of Cambridge University, test the real-life English language skills that people need for success.

In the United Arab Emirates the recognition of Cambridge English qualifications is growing as a large number of schools, universities and corporations look for reliable external measures of assessment.

Zara Shahid Khan, Marketing Manager UAE & Gulf of Cambridge English commented: 'Cambridge English exams are helping organisations all over the world including the UAE to ensure their applicants have the English language skills they need for success. This includes universities offering places on courses taught in English, employers who need their staff to use English in their jobs, or immigration bodies assessing suitable applicants.'
