Four Leading Global Architects Partner with Dubai Properties to Produce Cutting Edge Design
Dubai: 30 April, 2007 - Dubai Properties is working with innovative architects from around the world to ensure global standards in all developments, particularly Business Bay, which is expected to add a new dimension to architecture in Dubai.
Rem Koolhaas from Office for Metropolitan Architects (OMA), Zaha Hadid Architects, TVS Associates and WS Atkins are four of the leading global architecture firms commissioned by Dubai Properties to make real the company's vision to create unique communities that add value to the customer.

With a 30-year track record in the Gulf, Atkins is renowned for its cutting edge architecture design and comprehensive service throughout the life cycle of construction projects. Atkins has been awarded the contract for The Executive Towers, Aspect Tower and Bay Avenue as well as the Business Bay Sales Centre, which has been in operation for almost one year.
TVS Associates, international specialists in commercial space design, was hired by Dubai Properties to design the Vision Tower, which will serve as the gateway to Business Bay. Dubai Properties' first stand alone office tower, it will offer 500,000 square feet of prime office space in 51 storeys of transparent glass allowing clear two-way views and making for an unconventional and iconic structure.
In 2006, Dubai Properties initiated an international competition, inviting top global architects to submit designs for Business Bay Signature Towers on the most prominent plot in the district. Zaha Hadid's bold design was selected to represent the development, featuring a 'choreographed' fluidity that combines three towers in one overall gesture.
Similarly, renowned architects Reem Koolhas and Fernando Donis of OMA will be responsible for the Porsche Design Towers at Business Bay, the first such real estate development in the world. The project envisages a cylindrically shaped residential building and a futuristic glass cube to accommodate offices. The design will reflect postmodernist architecture at its best.
Business Bay is being developed along the lines of Manhattan of New York or the Ginza of Tokyo. Spanning 64 million sq. ft, it will offer a modern infrastructure featuring a wide choice of commercial, retail and entertainment offerings and public amenities.
