1500 sq. ft outlet in Mercato Centre commences operations with latest Fall/ Winter collection from premier Italian casual-wear brand


October 12, 2003 Dubai, UAE: Ferre Jeans, the premier Italian casual-wear line, part of the reputed House of Gianfranco Ferre, one of the leading fashion icons in the world, today opened its first free-standing store in the Middle East.
 
The store was formally inaugurated by Mr. Mohi-Din Binhendi, President, Bin Hendi Enterprises (BHE), which holds the exclusive franchisee rights for Ferre Jeans in Dubai, and Mr. Roberto Crippa, Area Manager, Middle East, Ittierre SPA, the global owners of the Gianfranco Ferre brand.
 
Located in Mercato Centre in the prestigious Jumeirah area of Dubai, the 1500 sq.ft store, will offer the latest Ferre Jeans collections for men and women, including the recently launched Fall/Winter Collection 2003.
 
Addressing a press conference to mark the launch of the new store, Mr. Mohi-Din Binhendi said that the opening of the new Ferre Jeans store at the prestigious Mercato Centre, marked a significant landmark in the evolution of the brand in the region.
 
“Over the past three years - since the commencement of our association with the Ferre Jeans brand – we have been instrumental in its growing popularity among young, fashion conscious men and women in Dubai, who have come to appreciate the fashion-forward concept that the brand has pioneered.
 
“As with our multi-brand boutiques in Deira, Wafi City and The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, which will continue to stock the brand, the new store will also bring the latest Ferre Jeans collections to Dubai simultaneous to their global launch.”
 
The fashion-forward concept that the Ferre Jeans brand has come to symbolize entails the use of bold and vibrant themes for men and women in striking colors and textures. Overstated, and at times larger than life, the hip and happening range from Ferre Jeans, serves to magnify the personality of the wearer, while lending an aura of mystique. These include denim jeans, tops, T-shirts, polos, casual wear trousers, shirts and jackets.
 
The opening of the new Ferre Jeans store adds to the rich repertoire of global fashion brands that Bin Hendi Enterprises represents in Dubai. These include leading international names such as Brioni, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein Jeans and Armand Basi.
