Over 30% revenue growth anticipated by close of third quarter due to enhanced product portfolio
UAE - BenQ Middle East has announced launch of world's first 21.5" Full HD LCD display, E2200HD along with its latest line up of 16:9 aspect ratio Full HD LCD monitors - the M2200HD, M2400HD and T2200HD. BenQ research indicates that 16:9 (or "1980x1080" resolution) monitors will be the mainstream models by 2010.
The use of "1980x1080" resolution technology in the LCD monitor range delivers better image quality than ever before by offering dot-to-dot Full HD image transmission, solving the traditional image quality problems caused by 16:10 monitors.
"With the release of this next generation 16:9 Full HD LCD monitors, BenQ is staying ahead of the game by taking the HD technology beyond just high-end TVs," said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, Middle East and Africa, BenQ.
"For instance, our research indicates that LCD monitor use is starting to replace use of small size TVs and our new monitor range is perfectly positioned for use by professional gamers, movie enthusiasts, families and professionals," he added.
The E2200HD monitor is the world's first 21.5 inch Full HD 16:9 LCD monitor. It features 10,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio which adjusts brightness and enhances colour contrast to deliver sharper, clearer and more detailed images. Senseye+photo capabilities instantly optimise viewing for all home and office applications and the range is Windows Vista certified. It can be connected to other entertainment systems including the latest gaming consoles and Blu-ray players.
"From the revenue perspective", Mr. Bakshi said, "Launch of the latest LCD display range will help to increase BenQ's overall revenue growth by 30% this quarter. The company anticipates it will also achieve an 18% increase in market share across the Middle East by end of the third quarter. "
BenQ's M Series will offer M2400HD-24" and M2200HD -21.5" Full HD models for the ultimate home multimedia experience by offering HDMI and DVI-D so users can connect it to HD gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and set-top boxes. Internet chatting is made spontaneous with a 2.0M webcam, integrated speakers, and microphone. Gamers and movie fans are catered too with headphone jack, D-Sub, and super-smooth picture quality via the fast 2ms GTG response time. Exceptional dark detail definition is afforded by a high 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, which automatically adjusts the display's backlight to optimize light levels for every scene. Other Full HD LCDM models being launched are the T2200HD, E2400HD, E900HD and G900HD.
With 16:9 aspect ratio fast becoming the new global standard among panel manufacturers, BenQ continues to distinguish its brand from the competition with innovation and industry-leading technologies that today include "ultra-green" 16:9 720p models for reduced environmental impact and enhanced cost-performance. The company's latest E900HD and G900HD feature popular 16:9 format for superior display of HD content as well as a unique 2-lamp design that still emits the bright 300 nits of 4-lamp models, all while saving substantial energy and greatly lessening carbon dioxide and mercury emissions. These two new models complement BenQ's HD 16:9 LCD Series released earlier this month, and transplant HD visual enjoyment from living room to desktop gaming, work, and video watching.
The full next generation digital lifestyle product range will be available throughout the Middle East by mid-September in all major retail outlets.
