New split-screen SP830 and SP831 DLP models feature BrilliantColor™ technology

BenQ, the global leader in networked lifestyle solutions and the third largest regional digital projector vendor, has expanded its Middle East projector range with the launch of its SP830 and SP831 WXGA models with digital light processing technology.

Ideal for use in large venues, the SP830 and SP831 is embedded with HQV (Hollywood Quality Video) processor and features Texas Instruments' BrilliantColor™ technology. HQV significantly enhances the projectors' split-screen function by delivering superior performance and scaling with both standard-definition and high-definition signals.

"Our new range of projectors are the result of years of research and development and have been developed with cutting-edge technologies," said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, Middle East & Africa, BenQ. "With the SP830 and SP831 models, we are confident users will be able to experience true-to-life picture quality, whether for work or home entertainment."

Compatible with Window's Vista Basic, both projectors feature a 2000:1 contrast ratio and 1280 x 768 WXGA widescreen aspect ratio. Additionally, the SP830 and SP831 come with high ANSI lumens at 3500 and 4000 respectively, and 2D Keystone correction that minimises picture distortion even when the projector is not perfectly parallel to the screen or wall.

The SP830 and SP831 also feature a zoom control function that allows users to focus on specific portions of the displayed image and an off-line automatic cooling function.

Furthermore, the projectors have numerous application modes and are compatible with various inputs including DVI-I (with HDCP), component, composite and S-video inputs.

"Our regional projector division has consistently broken sales records and to meet growing consumer demand, we are constantly introducing new models that combine style, quality, ease of use and latest multimedia capabilities," said Robert Dung, Managing Director of BenQ Middle East.

This year will also see the regional launch of BenQ's W20000 - the second model that fully supports the 1080p/24fps standard, for HD video at 24 frames per second and has a contrast ratio of 20,000:1. The W20000 is the successor of W10000 which was launched earlier in the year and has taken the market by storm since then.

"Continuing efforts to deliver customer-centric, design-oriented products the SP830 and SP831 which are priced competitively, will further boost our regional market presence and continue to drive our sales forward," added Dung.
