Energy-saving 42-inch VL4232 Boasts Senseye and AMVA Technologies

Global digital lifestyle solutions leader, BenQ, has expanded its VL series LCD TV line up in the Middle East with the launch of two new impressive models in most popular sizes, 42-inch VL4232 and 32-inch VL3232.

The larger model launched - the VL 4232 42-inch LCD TV - features High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and the brand's proprietary Senseye technology. By optimizing colour, clarity, contrast and motion, Senseye produces vivid and true-to-film images that are distinctly deeper, richer and clearer.

BenQ's TVs also feature AMVA (Advanced Multi-domain Vertical Alignment) technology for improved image quality and protection from low colour washout effects. AMVA provides a sweeping 178 degree super-wide viewing angle and 1200:1 high contrast ratio.

"Demand for our LCD TV's across the region has risen exponentially and our new VL models incorporating cutting-edge technology and futuristic design will cater to this growth," said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, BenQ, Middle East & Africa.

The VL 4232 comes with built-in 1080i HD, the ultimate in HDTV resolution and performance, Virtual Dolby Surround and other display-enhancing technologies for superior picture and audio quality. Its Sensi-light sensor - an energy-saving feature - automatically adjusts the backlight for more comfortable viewing.

"The Middle East LCD TV market is forecast to grow by a massive 226 per cent with total units shipped increasing to 235,000 units by 2009," said Robert Dung, Managing Director, BenQ, Middle East & Africa. "BenQ enjoys an 8% share of the UAE market and is currently at the number four position. The new launch models will catapult BenQ further into the leading league, consequently improving market share and positioning."

Going forward, the much awaited BenQ S-series- S37 and S42 models are getting ready for launch by third quarter of the year. The S-series models include a complete HD line up with resolution of 1920 x 1080i and two HDMI signal inputs. Featuring Senseye technology, the TVs have a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and response time of 6ms - providing consumer a unique viewing experience.

"Our LCD TV range is becoming increasingly popular region-wide. We are confident that  our new models, such as the VL 4232 and our upcoming S-series models equipped with latest technologies and award-winning designs will fulfill consumer requirements and increase our share in the region's booming consumer electronics market," said Bakshi.
