Manama, Bahrain: BENEFIT, the Kingdom’s innovator and leading company in Fintech and electronic financial transactions services and across the region, held virtual meetings for the first week of December 2020, with the banks and the Financial Institutions across the Kingdom of Bahrain. This comes in line with BENEFIT’s aim of strengthening collaborative ties, and updating other Banks of its plans to enhance the quality of services provided in light of its strategic plans and structural changes following the establishment of a specialized unit for developing corporate ties. The kick-off meetings were headed by Yousif AlNefaiei, Deputy Chief Executive of Business Development and Services at BENEFIT, and held in the presence of managers and heads of Information Technology alongside technical teams, as well as several representatives from various services provided by Banks in collaboration with BENEFIT. A number of joint projects were addressed and discussed, along with key upcoming challenges in the likes of client recognition, eCheques, payment and withdrawal portal at Automated Teller Machines (ATMs).

On this occasion, Yousif Mohammed AlNefaiei, said, “We are extremely proud of our Portal’s capabilities, which effectively fulfills our consumers’ needs in different ways, further enhancing our position as a leading payment portal in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in line with our commitment to deliver services to the highest standards. We have decided to hold these sessions with our partners across the Banking Sector in the name of increased collaboration, and this has successfully resulted in forming joint plans in place to execute our future projects in line with vision and directives of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).”

During these meetings, the Company’s future plans and the roles of the partnering Banks were discussed in detail, including, enhancing the Credit Information Portal, Comprehensive Financial Information about Small and Medium Enterprises known as SME360, Financial Transaction Documentation, improving EFTS and International payments through Benefit Pay eRemittance alongside adding new features for eCheques, the New Payment Gateway and the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificates.

Through a series of proactive plans, BENEFIT aims to continue to hold these discussion sessions on a regular basis in cooperation with relevant parties in order to reach a unified goal and vision which enables the sector to keep up the keep up with the latest financial trends and achieve the latest strategies that aim to transform the face of electronic payments, as well as  provide data to support decision making and enhancing the Kingdoms’ knowledge-based economy.
