03 April 2007
Beauty Arabia 2007, the 2nd Middle East International Beauty and Spa Event, returns to the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre from 18 to 21 April.

On display will be the very latest health and beauty products and services presented by over 90 companies from around the world, including Bahrain, the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and an official delegation from Thailand coordinated by the Thai Ministry of Commerce's Department of Export Promotion.

Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the exhibition is being organised by Arabian Exhibition Management, who run a successful portfolio of international events in Bahrain including the acclaimed Jewellery Arabia series.

"The Beauty Arabia 2007 exhibition embraces all aspects of the health and beauty market. Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to update themselves on - and try - the very latest products, treatments and technology under the convenience of one roof," Arabian Exhibition Management project manager Abdul Razzaq Kharraz said.

The first edition of Beauty Arabia attracted over 6,000 top-end consumers and trade visitors from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the region. Arabian Exhibition Management expect that attendance at Beauty Arabia 2007 will be larger still due to strong demand for beauty products in the GCC, whose high levels of disposable income make the region one of the highest per capita spends on beauty treatments in the world.

The 3,500 square metre exhibition's profile includes perfumes and cosmetics, hair care products and accessories, health and wellbeing products, spas and health resorts, toiletries and personal care products and cosmetic surgery clinics.

Numerous familiar brand names will be in attendance, including Chanel, Clarins, the Body Shop, Lancome and Nivea amongst others. Company experts from these leading brands and many more are also being flown in especially for the occasion to conduct makeovers, demonstrations and to give advice to visitors from their stands.

Major local participants include Al Hawaj, Ajmal Perfumes, Ashgar Ali Perfumes, Ashraf-BGDC, Designer Shaik, J.H. Ruyan and Nazih Trading.

As an added attraction for visitors, a series of special events and live demonstrations will take place on a central stage area during Beauty Arabia 2007.

"This event programme is open free of charge to all visitors. From catwalk shows, make up techniques to fashionable haircuts, these events will provide entertainment and education for all visitors," Kharraz said.

Entry to Beauty Arabia 2007 is free of charge to all visitors. Children under the age of 14 years will not be admitted. The exhibition opening hours are: Wednesday 18, Thursday 19 and Saturday 21 April from 5pm to 10pm, Friday 20 April from 2pm to 10pm. Special ladies only mornings will take place on Thursday 19 April and Saturday 21 April from 10am to 2pm.
