Interiors supplier to capitalize on US2.9m dollar Dubai expansion win.

BAFCO, the region's premier architectural office interiors and office furniture supplier, is showcasing its products and services at the Dubai Airport Show in a bid to capitalize on the burgeoning growth of the region's airports.

With Dubai International Airport adding another concourse and expecting passenger numbers to reach 60 million by 2021, and a further 160 million passengers scheduled for Maktoum International, the company is highlighting its expertise in specialised design and fit-out.

This comes on the back of a AED11million (US$2.98m) contract for the fit-out of office interiors at the new Emirates Terminal 3 at Dubai International. For its timely delivery, Dubai Airports officials presented BAFCO with Supplier of the Year Award 2008.

The AED16.52bn terminal houses 2,200 workstations supplied by BAFCO plus public area sofas and executive desks. In a triumph of logistics, the company sourced office furnishings globally from Italy, Spain and Korea ahead of the 60-day deadline set by Dubai Airports.

Sales and Design Manager at BAFCO Ahmed Syeeduddin said: "The recent figures of growth of airports in the region has suggested an estimated growth of 400  million passengers. With the airport expansion projects here in Dubai as well as Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and across the region, BAFCO is well placed to handle these challenging and demanding projects."
