In line with the development plans for Bahrain International Airport

BAC Facility Management, the facility management arm of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), has embarked on a proactive initiative to recruit and train Bahrainis whereas the company has engaged Electrical and Electronics Technical Diploma holders within the company.
Launched in partnership with the Ministry of Labour, the one-year apprentice program will help advance the skills and technical know-how of seven young Bahraini graduates in line with BAC's commitment to boost productivity and empower the national workforce.
"This is one in a series of training initiatives we are undertaking in line with the on-going enhancement work at Bahrain International Airport (BIA). As one of Bahrain's key economic contributors we see it as our responsibility to help bridge the employment gap in the marketplace and grow a skilled, efficient and productive talent pool through training and job creation." commented Mr. Udo Soicke, Chief Executive Officer of BAC FM. "Our training schemes are also designed to shape the next generation of aviation professionals and equip them with the necessary skills and expertise so that they can be easily immersed into the aviation field," further stated Mr. Soicke.
The seven trainees have been recruited as 'apprentices' and they will undergo extensive on-and-off the job training under the supervision and guidance of the BAC FM team, who will be responsible for coaching the apprentices as well as monitoring their performance during their one-year contract period.
BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport's contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain's Economic Vision. In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport's operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA's capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
