Muscat, 06 April, 2013 - On the occasion of a visit to the UAE, Audi Oman, represented by Wattayah Motors, recently was given the opportunity to chauffeur fifteen government representatives from the Sultanate. On the three day trip the representatives received a first-hand demonstration of the safety and security features of the Audi vehicles. The convoy of three Audi A8, one A6 and two Q7's made for an impressive sight on the road.
The delegates visited the Audi terminal in Dubai on the first day, which is the largest Audi showroom in the world spanning across 15,000 sq metres over six levels. On the second day of their visit the delegation travelled to Abu Dhabi IDEX 2013 to witness the demonstration of the recently launched Audi A8 L Security, which boasts an impressive array of occupant safety and security features.
Commenting on the event, Ahmed Shariefi, General Manager for Audi Oman said, "Wattayah Motors, the official dealers of Audi in Oman, were pleased to be able to showcase the Audi's strength in the region and it was a privilege to transport the honourable representatives of the Oman Government to the UAE. Oman is one of the most significant markets for Audi in the Middle East and the delegates were taken through the impressive growth plan the Audi has in-store for the Sultanate for the coming years."
Ahmed Shariefi added, "The design and architectural plans for our new Audi showroom in Muscat have been completed and construction is planned to start before end of this year. This new facility is a direct reflection of our performance this year and is planned to be opened by 2015. The visit also gave us the opportunity to highlight the special security features available to Audi buyers here in the Sultanate."
