Under the patronage of Transport Minister His Excellency Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed Bahrain International Technology Exhibition - BITEX is going to be held in Bahrain international exhibition and convention centre from the 10th until the 12th of December.
The event is parallel with the fourth edition of the well known MEET ICT conference that is specialized in information and telecommunication technologies. However, BITEX is expected to showcase technology with its different categories which will includes electronic tools and devices, computing systems, mobiles and others.
According to exhibitors, Bahrainis are always looking for new innovations and they always keep up with the latest technologies, therefore Bahrain has a dynamic and growing technology market.
"BITEX is targeting thee technology market in the entire region" said the organizers "the event that is going to be conducted for the first time in the kingdom of Bahrain will hopefully develop the industry and promote Bahrain capabilities in the field of technology"
Sixty local and international companies will take part of the exhibition, where the local eligible companies will benefit from Tamkeen support. On a different note organizers are prepared to host four hundred visitors.
With a strategic partnership with Bahrain Technology Companies Society - BTECH, the event is organized by WorkSmart for events management. The technology related NGO "BTECH" worked with WorkSmart on several projects aiming to promote Bahrain as the region's technology hub.
"I would like to thank His Excellency the Minister of Transport for his support to the event, the patronage is part of his constant support to the efforts of having better economy" Said Mr. Ahmed Hujairy CEO of the organizing company during the announcement of the event.
"BITEX is designed to maximize the opportunities of technology investments through reaching out to the regional market" he added assuring that BITEX will be the common ground of the regional technology industries.
