Doha, Qatar - Andrea Masini, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from La Pienza UIniversity in Rome and holder of a PhD in Management from ISNEAD, has been appointed as the new Dean of the HEC Paris MBA program. Masini, who taught at the London Business School before joining HEC in September 2010, and has also taught in Executive Education programs in HEC Paris in Qatar, was appointed to his new post by Peter Todd, Dean of HEC Paris.
For Andrea Masini, "The HEC MBA is unquestionably a reference model, with high-level teaching delivered by internationally renowned professors, a diverse profile of students, capped off professionally by a structured network of graduates who are active throughout the world. His research focuses on the operational and organizational impact of technological innovations, renewable energies, and sustainable development. His works have been published in some of the most prestigious scientific journals, such as M&SOM, Journal of Operations Management and Energy Policy.
He teaches on the MBA and PhD programs, as well as teaching executives and managers in through Executive Education. Moreover, he is regularly consulted by private and public bodies on projects linked to the optimization of process, information systems and technological innovation.
Andrea Masini takes over from Bernard Garrette, whose 5 year mandate comes to an end on December 31st "Bernard Garrette has carried out a lot of great work at the head of the MBA, as much on an academic level as on a personal one", underlines Peter Todd. "Under his direction, the international renown of the program has been reinforced, in the same way as the quality and implementation of the curriculum. HEC Paris owes him an awful lot".
